XTORM FS303 Portable Power Bank – £39.99 from Currys PCWorld

Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5.0 stars

The Second Powerbank we have had the chance to review from accessory brand Xtorm is the Fuel Series 3 10,000 mAh powerbank. This powerbank is more suited for devices with a USB-C Port and allows you to charge multiple devices at once.

First Impressions

The Fuel Series 3 also comes in the 20,000mAh version but in this review, we are covering the smaller 10,000mAh which costs £39.99. This charger can give you a full charge in just over 30 minutes.

The main features of this powerbank are:

  • 18w Output
  • 1x USB-C In/Output
  • 2x USB-A outputs
  • Auto Power Management

Now, this powerbank is not just for android devices you can also charge an iPhone using a USB-A to Lightning cable that let’s be honest most of us will have one in the house. Unfortunately, you don’t get one in the box.

In the box, you get the charger, USB-A to USB-C charge cable and User guide that provides some simple instructions on how to use the charger effectively.

 Design

The Fuel Series 3 is a slimline design making it perfect to slip into your pocket without any fuss in fact it’s more slimline then my iPhone X. The Powerbank is also lightweight at only 210g and its also not a very big at 148x73x14mm.

The Powerbank has the Xtorm logo printed on the front then at the top you have a power button followed with 3 LED’s to indicate how much battery power you have in the powerbank.

This is finished off with 3 USB Ports to allow you to charge a number of devices such as your smartphone, Tablet & or portable gaming console like a Nintendo Switch. You can also charge your portable camera. You get given 2x USB-A ports and 1x USB-C port. You are provided 18W in this powerbank that will more than enough cover most devices you decide to charge.

Performance

Using this powerbank was very easy to do simply plug your powerbank in and make sure the power is switched on and bingo you’re charging your device. I have an iPhone X and got a full charge in just under 35 minutes which I was very impressed with. What I liked about this device is you could charge multiple devices at any one time. I had no concerns as Xtorm has used auto power management meaning it will balance the amount of power each device will get.

This charger also comes with the ability for fast charging is your device allows. Using the quick charge 3.0 technology allowing you to charge your device up to 85% faster than after powerbanks on the market. This is a great feature to have when you need that boost to your device battery.

The device is also airport proof meaning you can use it on a plane when we are all allowed to travel again.

Verdict

If you are looking for a power bank that is fairly priced and offers quick charge function and allows you to charge multiple devices this powerbank is well worth buying. This power bank allows you to charge multiple devices. My only negative is I would have liked to have had a USB to lightning cable to have come with this device also I would have liked to have had a wireless charging option.

Apart from it’s a great powerbank that with 10,000mAh I managed to recharge my smartphone 4 times from this powerbank which offers power anywhere, you need it and also allowing you to charge multiple devices it’s a great little power bank.
