The third review of Bakker Elkhuizen products after the Ergo-Q 260 laptop stand and the Ultraboard 950, we have been sent is the Evoluent D Mouse. This is a vertical mouse that is designed to reduce discomfort when using the mouse as you hold it in the handshake position. Your wrist will thank you as the handshake position will prevent the wrist from bending less and ultimately the arm rotates less.

Design

The Evoluent D model is made of very high-quality material to create that premium feel. The Evoluent D model is available in either a wired or wireless version and comes in small, medium and large sizes so it will fit most hand sizes. It’s also worth knowing this mouse is more suited to a right-handed person.

Our review sample was the large model that fits a max of 190mm hand size but the small will cover a hand size of 178mm (top of the middle finger to the edge of the wrist).

The grip of the mouse is less spherical than previous models and the fact the mouse uses a mixture of different textures will create a comfortable grip. This mouse comes with five buttons and all are clicked firmly without making too much noise. The cursor speed is 3200 DPI meaning you will be able to do your work with both speed and accuracy.

Installing the Evoluent D wireless mouse was effortless it’s simply a plug and play and once connected to your laptop or desktop the mouse will be fully programmable. In terms of compatible devices, the mouse will work as long as it’s windows 7 or newer.

Verdict

It’s really hard to say much more about this device its a mouse it provides a comfortable experience without adding pressure to your wrist even after a long day at work.

The price point is over the £100 mark but for an ergonomically designed mouse with a handshake style this brand is one of the leading brands out there and it’s well worth considering as your next office mouse.
