Orlando-based company has been developing this technology for some time now, and it promises to be a revolution in the way we listen to music. Aiken is releasing its first Bluetooth earbuds called Aiken Feel Buds with new and improved noise-cancelling technology.

Before knowing more about this new technology, it is necessary to understand existing noise-cancelling technologies.

Feedback

In the feedback configuration, the microphone sits inside the earbud and in front of the speaker,
so you hear the resulting signal in the same way as the listener.

Feedforward

In a feedforward configuration, the microphone is placed outside the earbud. The microphone hears the noise before the person. The ANC then processes the noise and creates the anti-noise before sending the resulting signal to the earbud speaker.

Hybrid ANC

As you can imagine, a hybrid approach takes the best of both worlds, combining feedforward and ANC feedback by placing a microphone in and out of the earbuds.

The new Improved Noise Canceling (INC) technology works with two external microphones that have anti-noise and an in-ear microphone that picks up the internal sounds and produces the anti-noise sound again. Thus, the noise is cancelled three times.
