Here at What Gadget we have reviewed a number of smartwatches from the likes of Whitings Scanwatch which is designed to monitor your health to the Mobvoi Ticwatch E3 and Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra which give you both health and fitness monitoring and tracking. In this review, the focus is on the HiFuture FutureGO Pro.

Who are HiFuture?

HiFuture started with a vision to take the acoustic experience to a new level and is a brand most known for its earphones and speakers but they also have smartwatches such as the FutureFit range.

First Impressions

 Design

You may have seen the HiFuture have the FutureFit range of smartwatches that come with that very sporty look. The FutureGo Pro comes with a completely new look a more premium classic look when you think of a watch. It comes with a circular display that is very clean and elegant.

The display of this watch has numbers surrounding the display just like a chronometer and this provides a stunning metallic finish. The watch has 2 multifunction buttons located on the side of the watch.

The watch has a slim build and is made of high-quality zinc alloy. The display is 46.4mm and the frame has a thickness of 12mm which is a bit weighty at 50g but comfortable on the wrist.  The strap really does complete the look of this watch its stainless steel and of excellent quality. The watch is available in silver or black and in this review we were sent the silver option.

Display

The HiFuture FutureGo Pro comes with a 1.32inch FHD display that uses Gen 2 Trucolor display this makes the watch very impressive and I would even say one of the best circular displays on the market the sharpness of the colours really pops and the brightness on this watch was also a real benefit. The resolution is 360×360 pixels and offers a high refresh rate which makes it stand out from the crowd.

HiFuture Watch Faces

In addition to the excellent display just like most smartwatch brands, they also provide you with a wide range of pre-installed watch faces already installed on the watch.

If you’re looking for something different, the Glory Fit app that needs to be installed when using the watch has over 100 different faces available for download. You can also add your own photos and create a custom watch face if you wish.

Under the Bonnet

When you take a closer look at what makes this watch tick. The FutureGo Pro adopts a built-in chip for faster response speed and data processing. The chip is also paired with 128MB ROM to provide plenty of storage. There is also a dynamic optical heart rate sensor so you can monitor your motion all day ideal for a busy lifestyle. Last but not least the watch also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 so this will keep the connection to your phone and the Glory Fit app when monitoring your fitness tracking.

Waterproof Level

This watch is built to last and this can not be said more having a 3ATM waterproof level means if you were to go swimming the watch will be fine and jump in the shower with no problems. The watch can handle pressure at up to 30m just remember it’s fine for the pool but do not use this watch when swimming in the sea as the saltwater will cause the watch damage.

Battery Life

HiFuture has also put some thought into the battery department and provided you with a 430mAh battery which is rather large when you compare it to its rivals. We found with standard use the watch will give you around 20 days of use which is excellent but this can reduce depending on what features and fitness tracking you are using on a regular basis.

Health & Fitness tracking

The FutureGo Pro provides the user with everything you need when looking to record your activity when doing any sport this watch has your back.

HiFuture FutureGo Pro Smartwatch review

It has the ability to monitor up to 24 different sports modes such as running, walking, swimming, and riding a bike. It also covers those who enjoy the likes of mountaineering, Skiing, Triathlon, Yoga and even weightlifting.

It also provides the user with health monitoring from the built-in optical heart rate sensor that provides an intelligent heart rate algorithm which allows you to monitor your heart rate in real-time. The watch also provides female health monitoring such as when she can expect her menstrual period. This was a feature as you might have guessed I was unable to review this feature.

The watch also allows you to measure blood pressure and measure oxygen levels in the blood in real-time to help you prevent low levels of oxygen in the blood that causes discomfort to the user.

Finally when it’s time for bed the watch does not stop monitoring as it will monitor your sleep and will provide a report on your total number of hours of sleep and if that was light or deep sleep and show you your sleep patterns.

Notifications

The FutureGO Pro just like the Ticwatch and my Apple Watch will provide you with notifications as and when they happen on your phone they will also appear on your watch.

This is useful as you can see messages, social media notifications and other notifications from apps you use regularly. Now you also get incoming call notifications but unlike the Ticwatch or Apple watch the FurureGo Pro does not have the function to answer calls via your watch.

Verdict

Considering this is the first product we have reviewed from HiFurure. The FutureGo Pro is an excellent effort it’s well built and has that premium feel so much so you will forget this watch is only $78, you would expect it to cost twice that on design alone. It screams quality timepiece and offers you 3ATM waterproofing, Long lasting battery and a nice range of features to help you monitor your health & Fitness, provide the weather report and more.

What I found slightly disappointing was the fact you can not answer calls via your watch it will indicate someone calling but you will need your phone to answer. Apart from that if you’re after a classic style watch with smartwatch capability this watch is a solid option for someone looking for a budget-friendly option.
