In this review, we finish our coverage of VOLTME chargers after covering the Revo 65 GaN charger and Revo Duo 30W GaN charger and now turn our attention to the Revo Lite Duo 20W PD charger.
First Impressions
The VOLTME Revo Lite Duo 20W has 2x USB-C ports and as with the others can be purchased in either white or black. This charger provides the user with full-speed 20W charging for USB-C-enabled phones and tablets with USB-C charging ports. Now they are very affordable costing only £10.99.
Now this charger supports Power Delivery 3.0 which is suitable for iPhones from the iPhone 8 to the more current iPhone 14 Pro Max and It is also suitable for the iPad or earbuds with a USB-C port.
Design
The VOLTME Revo Lite Duo 20W is just like the Revo Duo 30W in the fact it can charge 3 times as fast compared to an original 5W wall charger. Size wise it measures 1.7 x 1.5 x 1.3 inches and weighs 1.5 ounces. The Revo Lite Duo 20W comes with its own V-Dynamic smart chip that helps intelligently regulate heat and power output between both USB-C ports.
Now the key difference between this charger and the Revo Duo 30W is the missing LED which is normally just above both ports. It still comes with the orange internal tab which is there for visual appearance to allow you to see the right way the plug needs to be inserted into the plug.
Charging capability
The Revo Lite Duo supports a max of 20W which is ideal for charging your mobile phone and a pair of earbuds at the same time. It will charge up an iPhone 14 up to 50% in less than 25 minutes due to its fast charging capabilities.
Now the Revo Lite Duo is compatible with most iPhones and iPads and will also charge up your Airpods and Apple Watch. It is also compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, Samsung S10 & S10e models and will also work with the Google Pixel 3 to 5 models.
Something to consider is this charger is not suitable for Samsung super fast charging on devices like the Samsung Galaxy S20, S21 and Ultra models.
Safety Features
The Revo Lite Duo 20W shares the same safety features as much of the range we have also covered such as:
- Built-in short circuit protection – This prevents your device from getting damaged by a shorted-out wire.
- Over-Voltage Protection – This will detect how much current your device needs and provides the right amount.
- Temperature Sensor – If the device gets too hot the charging process will automatically shut down.
In addition to the above safety features it also conforms to the latest IEC 62368-1 safety standard. It’s also recommended you use your device’s original charging cable or the RUGD Rhino cable that will be able to handle the power provided by this charger.
Verdict
The VOLTME Revo Lite Duo 20W PD charger is well-built and portable allowing you to pop it in your bag when travelling. The plug offers 20W via two USB-C ports allowing you to charge up to 2 devices at any one time. Something to consider if the device you have has a lithium battery the charging speed will be faster from 0% to 50% than when you charge from 50% to 100% this is simply due to the safety requirements of lithium batties.
If you are looking for a fast charger to allow you to charge your phone and tablet at the same time as well as offer additional safety features not always found in alternative models. This charger is budget friendly but comes with excellent build quality and performance not always found in chargers at this price point it is a strong option for your next portable charger.
