The AirFly Pro connects two wireless headphones to any headphone jack? Probably music to many ears of parents out there who have children watching or listening to content on one device, with the volume up loud.

AirFly Pro, a clever solution to a few of those scenarios where you might just need a little peace or need a product that will allow you to listen and watch the same content at the same time.

Twelve South AirFly Pro

How does it work?

Twelve South AirFly Pro allows two people using wireless Bluetooth headphones or earbuds to connect by simply plugging into anywhere that has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The best scenario to think about would be if you’re travelling on a plane (when we can again) and you would like to watch the same film (in sync) using your favourite headphones.

This is a welcome upgrade from the original AirFly Bluetooth adapter, which only allowed for wired headphones to be connected.

AirFly Pro, benefit from Aux In too

Another great feature of AirFly Pro is the Aux In function, which allows you to send audio from your iPhone to your car stereo, or even connect to that retro non-Bluetooth home audio setup you have and still enjoy that nostalgia sound with up-to-date streamed music.

The Design and Unboxing

You can clearly see that the designers have taken inspiration from the AirPods casing here, a really sleek compact casing with the rounded edges with a short stem cable which provides the 3.5mm connection, that also comes with a nice stap-on cover. The AirFly weighs in at just 15.6g and is supplied with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable as well as a nice carrying case too, lastly, you also have the option to attach these to a keyring too.

Functionality Testing

A simple solution requires the product to be simple to use, which this product is. Setting up the AirFly Pro is straightforward, all that is required is to press and hold the powere butting on the front, you will be greeted with a standard Bluetooth ready flashing LED and follow the usual pairing process.

You can benefit from 16+ hours of battery life which is more than enough for any real-life usage scenario, and if not, you can give it a boost charge (whilst in use) if necessary.

Final Thoughts

The AirFly Pro has a decent range to it but do not expect to plug it into a device in your living room whilst you’re moving around the house, it will lose connection. This product is a great solution for short range audio sharing.

If you need a solution for a flight or have two children that want to listen and watch the same content or connect to a gaming device such as a Nintendo Switch, then this will work perfectly.

If you have an Aux In within a car or home audio system and would like to stream music from your iPhone, then this will do the job.
