First Impressions

From the moment you see the packaging till you get to the carry case and unzip it to show you the massage gun and various attachments you can see this device screams professional.

Bob & Brad C2 Massage Gun

I was pleased to see all the required attachments and USB-C charger along with the gun itself. The gun has a black and silver colour to provide that professional look and the gun looks durable even if it’s made of plastic. All this for £89.99!

Design

This massage gun is handheld and weighs in at just 1.5 lbs making this gun compact in size. It’s slightly bigger compared to the Q2 model. The handle is oval-shaped and may feel a little large in your hands but we had no issue when using it, especially on my neck where an old injury gets a little worse in this cold weather.

The gun uses that T-shaped hammer style that you get with most massage guns we have tested that handle although oval shaped has a rubber grip so you can keep hold of the gun while in operation.

At the base of the handle is 4 LEDs to indicate the battery life of the gun. Under that is the USB-C port for when you need to charge the gun.

Above the handle the power button is inset and it also comes with 5 LEDs above the power button and which indicate the level of pressure. The positioning of the power button has been well thought out as you won’t risk accidentally pressing the button when in operation.

In order to switch the massage gun on you need long press the button to switch it on and then quick presses will allow you to move through the pressure speeds.

Battery Life

The C2 has a built-in Lithium battery that comes with a 2500mAh capacity. A single charge will last up to 4 hours but this can be less depending on the level of use. When it’s time to recharge it will take 3.5 hours to do the battery life means you can take this with you while travelling and have no concerns in regard to battery life.

The Attachments

The C2 model comes with 5 attachments instead of the regular 4 you see on guns like the  Lifenaxx Mini Massage Gun LX-025 we have also reviewed. Let’s take a closer look at the attachments:

Ball Head – This is the most popular attachment as it’s the one used to provide a general massage. This attachment will be fine for most parts of the body. In this model the ball head is made of plastic if you had to find a fault it would have been better to be made from foam but this is just my view.

Fork Head– The attachment is used for the spine or neck area it has two prongs that go on either side of the spine. This attachment can also be used around the calf area if required.

Bullet Head- This attachment targets a particular spot on the body. This attachment is ideal for those with muscle knots that can be painful and normal massage won’t help that is where the bullet head can come into play.

The Flat Head–  This head is designed to help bigger muscles like the quads and pecs. The flat head is also made from hard plastic.

The Air Cushion Head – This attachment is somewhat unique its a combination of 2 heads you have a flat head and a rubber cushion on top. This is used when you require a deeper massage and want to feel the percussion.

When it comes to switching attachments they can be removed and attached with ease which is a good design element. Compared to the Lifenaxx model in which you need a bit more force to remove the attachment.

Performance

First up we will focus on the stroke length and amplitude which refers to how deep a massage can provide this gun will provide up to 9mm amplitude. This will provide you with a strong performance from the first speed it does go deep into the muscle and the higher the speed the deeper the massage is.

The next area we focus on is the stall focus it was hard to get an exact measurement but we expect the max to be about 30 lbs. This fits with a mini massage gun performance which is not surprising given its size.  In terms of percussions and speed, the C2 offers an impressive 2000 to 3200 RPM which is for a small gun. That said I was impressed with 3200rmp which is impressive and might even feel a bit intense for some. You could even say the first speed of 2000rpm might be a little high.

Bob & Brad C2 Massage Gun

In terms of noise, the C2 is quite a massage gun and at most speeds, you do get a louder sound but this is when the gun is towards the higher speeds.

Verdict

Bob & Brad C2 model just like the Q2 mini is perfect for those who want a massage gun at home for personal use or if this is your first time buying a massage gun it’s the perfect purchase.

I found if you wanted to take this massage gun on the move with you the included carry case is a big bonus. In terms of performance, it will do a good job of working on sore muscles or getting rid of lactic acid buildup and will perform well when used after doing a workout or after some active sport. Unfortunately, if you are a bodybuilder or are a serious athlete this gun won’t be for you.

Overall, I was impressed with the build and lack of noise it was quite powerful considering the size of the gun and it would have been nice to have had a larger amplitude as 8mm won’t be enough for the more demanding user.  I was also impressed with the battery life as it gave me a very long battery life.

So if your looking for a message gun I would highly recommend either the C2 or Q2 mini as both provide exactly what you need when trying to fix their aches and pains for at-home use.
