Since Apple recently announced they were not going to offer a charger free in the iPhone 12 and remember Samsung mocked them. Well, fast forward a few months and shock horror Samsung have now announced the S21 range is now charger free!
So lots of us are now looking for a charger for our new phone. The market is full of brands offering chargers but in this review, we will be looking at Xtorm who we have reviewed their powerbanks but this time we were sent the Xtorm Travel charger with USB-C PD & Quick charge 3.0.
This travel charger costs €19 from xtorm website and offers the chance to charge two devices at once. This charger is part of the volt series which uses GaNFast Technology that allows for a faster, safer charging device that is smaller than others on the market. They do this by offering a USB-C PD 18W & USB QC 3.0 18W
Now this charger is designed for the traveller in mind as it comes with an interchangeable plug. It comes with a built-in US adapter that you only need to open up to use in US plug points but it also comes with an EU & UK plug adaptors meaning you will be able to charge your devices anywhere in the world and this will be great when we can travel again once this pandemic is a distant dream.

Xtorm has added auto power management that shares the charge when using both ports but also makes sure it works in every country as some countries have 100V and others 240V.
This charger offers 20W fast charge output which when tested gave me 50% battery life on my iPhone 12 in 30min and supports Apple fast charging. This charger also offers temperature control & overcharge protection which prevents your device overheating while on a charge.
This charger is made of plastic but is very well made and is small and comes with a fabric pouch to keep the charger and UK & EU adaptors in when on the move.
I really like this charger yes we cant travel currently but with the fast charge option it also works well as a great everyday charger especially now the likes of Apple & Samsung won’t offer you the box standard chargers. So when we can go travelling around the world this will be the perfect accessory for staying charged on the move.
